When comparing the rule of two Mughal rulers; Akbar & Aurangzeb, we can see they are polar opposites. Akbar is clearly a good leader while Aurangzeb is clearly a bad leader. Compare either Akbar or Aurangzeb to one person/leaders/rulers whom we have learned about at any point this year. Please state why you believe they are similar.

I think Aurangzeb and Nero are similar because they were both bad leaders. Also, Aurangzeb and Nero both destroyed places. Aurangzeb destroyed Hindu Temples and Nero started the Great Fire of Rome by burning some of Rome and blaming it on the Christians.

Akbar And Julius Caesar were very alike. They had all the people on their sides. They were both very well liked. The one difference is Julius Caesar was stabbed 23 times by the senate.

I believe that Nero and Aurangzeb are similar. I believe this because they both punished people for their beliefs. Nero persecuted many Christians, and Aurangzeb added back the tax on non-Muslims. Aurangzeb and Nero were both bad leaders, and weakened their Empire.

I think Akbar was a lot like Julius Caesar. Akbar cared for both Muslims, and Non-Muslims. He also made fair laws for the rich and the poor to pay tax. Same with Julius Caesar, he cared for the peasants. Also setting up fair laws for the Plebeians and Patricians.

I think that Akbar was a lot like Julius Caesar because they were both good people who want to make things fair and have peace on earth. Also Julius made rights for the poor and Akbar also made Muslims pay the special tax as well. Therefore they were both great leaders of the world.

I am comparing Wuo Hou ( first female ruler ) to Arangzeb. I think they are kind of a like because they are both harsh. Wou Hou did thing for the best and Arangzeb did things he thaught was write. In the video with John Green he tried to prove that Arangzeb was not so bad and it made a little scence. So i think they are kind of a like but with many differences.

I am going to compare Akbar and Martin Luther King Jr. They wanted everyone to have equal rights between everyone. MLK wanted all races to be equal and Akbar wanted all religions to be equal.

I agree with you, Abby. Even though Akbar wanted equal rights for non-Muslims because he did not want them to go against him, they still both earned equal, or more equal rights.

Aurangzeb is like Nero in Rome. They both destroyed something important to the city or a big group of people. Aurangzeb destroyed Hindu temples and Nero burned or destroyed 50 percent of Rome.

I think Aurangzeb is very similar to Emperor Nero from Rome. The reason why is that they both gave very unfair rights to people who had different religions (Christians and Hindus). They gave them higher taxes and sometimes even killed them. If you asked me I wouldn't want either of thoses rulers!! :D

I am comparing Arangzeb and Nero. Arangzeb made non-muslims pay a special tax because he did not like non muslims. Nero banned Christianity because he did not like Christans. They both do not like some sort of religion.

I think that Akbar could be compared to George Washington. They were both considered great leaders to their country, and treated all of their people with respect. Akbar lifted the non-muslim special tax, and Washington believed all men were created equal.

Akbar is similar to Julius Cesar because they both wanted to help there communities and both got slayed. Although they have very little differences, they are so alike. But then how Julius Ceaser got assassined was very different from, Akbar.

Aurangzeb and Julius are very different because Aurangzeb treated everyone equal and Julius persecute Christians because they were challenging their beliefs. Also Julius conquered many areas of land where Aurangzeb didn't conquer much land at all. Another difference is that Julius was very selfish he was believed to have started the great fire of Rome that from the ashes he placed his palace, where Aurangzeb made it so everyone is equal.
