I believe the Justinian code is one of his greatest accomplishments. Once he rewrote the law, the poor and uneducated could understand it more, and couldn´t be used to the rich and educated´s advantage. The code also allowed woman to inherit property and have more authority, which changed the empire forever. :D

I think the Justinian code is the best because it gave women the chance to inherit property. Also instead of over 200 laws one law that explains all of them. He made multiply great advancements but I think this was the best accomplishment.

I agree with you Kevin. If I lived in the city I would not want to have 200 rules that are hard to understand. Also he gave women the right to inherit property.

I think his greatest accomplishment was the Hagia Sophia because it was built in six years. Also it was the the largest free standing dome in the world. Finally it had beautiful artwork. Angels and Jesus were so beautiful.

I agree with Liz that it was the largest free standing dome. They used The Roman structure for the dome shape.

I think that Justinian's biggest accomplishment was the Hagia Sophia. This was a really big church built in only six years!! If I was on of those workers, I would want to be remembered for a long time afterwards.

I agree with you, Abby. I think that the Hagia Sophia was Justinian's greatest accomplishment. I would, as you mentioned, want to be remembered for a long time after building the Hagia Sophia, but it seems that Justinian got all of the credit for what other people did. Sad, right?

I think the best accomplishment was Justinian's code. It made women have more rights. Also, back then women are not treated as fairly as men.

Justinian's creative lead to a very vicious cool accomplishment. He outsmarted 30,000 people. Every rebel. He trapped, and killed them all, stopping the nika rebellion. I thought this was an accomplishment because he was eventually brave enough to stay and fight.

I think that Justinian's greatest accomplishment was the Hahia Sophia. Part of the reason I think this is because he somehow managed to convince the workers to build the building in six years! Shouldn't that be a world record or something, especially considering its size? It had the worlds largest dome at the time!!! Another reason I think that this was his greatest accomplishment is because of the artwork on the ceilings and walls. I know we only saw pictures, but it looks gorgeous!

I agree the Hagia Sophia is pretty impressive. Building any structure that large and that fast (6 years), without the modern technically we have today is unimaginable. I think it was smart to rush the building of the project so he would get/ be given credit for its construction.

I think that one of justinians greatest accomplishments was the Justinian code. His code made the poor be more educated and help them learn more. Also I just thought it was cool that he made that law to not just help the rich but help the poor to and not for the rich to take advantage of the poor.

I agree with you Maddy S. the Justinian code helped people that were uneducated. Which helped many people be able to read and write. Also because back then in the Middle Ages, they did not have a wood block press. In this case made it ten times harder for them to write books, and write word for word daily day by night. That makes me tired even thinking about it.

I believe that the Hagia Sophia was Justinian's greatest accomplishment. I believe this because the Hagia Sophia had the biggest dome at the time, and was built in only six years. He made the workers race to build it, so this beautiful building was built in a very short time.

I think Justinian's code is the best accomplishment. It dumbed down the very long and confusing laws. Also, the less educated could understand. It was kind and thoughtful.

I disagree with you Miles because Justinian didn't even do that he had a ton of people to rewrite the laws for him. Also it is just a code of laws compared to taking back Rome that's nothing.

I think that Justinian's biggest accomplishments is his code he made. His code made it fair for women to own land. It also let them inherit land when there dad or husband died. The name of the code was Justinian code.

I think Justinian's greatest accomplishment was taking back Rome because not many people could do that. Rome was huge, and it took Rome (before it fell) 400 years to take that. Justinian took back in less that time and was the greatest emperor there.

I believe one of the greatest accomplishments from Justinian was probably the Justinian code. I believe this because, the uneducated were able to understand how to read and write. Also this was not one of his laws but, Justinian's wife made a law for women to be able to inherit land. Lastle not be as brudely punished if they were to cheat on their husband. But if the husband cheated on the wife it didnt matter, when I found out about that I was really disappointed of the laws they had for the women back then.

I think one of Justinian's greatest accomplishments was the Hagia Sofia. It is massive and it is impressive that it was built in 6 years without the technology we have nowadays. Another thing I think he did that was smart was how he ended the Nika Rebellion. The Nika Rebellion was pretty big and I think how he ended it wasn't the best way but it was pretty clever. The wealthy should not think that they have more power than the ceasar/ Monarch, just because they are wealthy and are being asked to pay tax that does not make a good reason to start a rebellion. The group of rebels could have gotten bigger and a war could have started and Justinian prevented something bigger from happening by assasinating the rebels .
