The most interesting thing I learned in the Middle Ages is the items they used in battle. Like the crossbow, you didn't even need any skill to use it. I also liked the new plated armor. It was lighter and stronger than chain armor.

I agree this was also a big tactic. Plated armor saved lives, and the crossbow could be an easy weapon to take one.

My favorite part of the dark ages was the castles. There were so many defensive tactics that you can use!! No one could defeat an armed castle. Thank you vikings!

I agree it would be so hard to attack an armed castle. You loose so many men in battle. I feel it was just not worth it, you would loose about 1000 men just to the first gate.

Ya that was also a really interesting part of the Middle Ages, Kevin. I thought it was unique how they just took the bodies and put them in a mass grave so they didn't have to spend all of the money to make graves for everyone, smart thinking.

My favorite part was the castles. It was very interesting to learn all the defenses. All the steps to acutely get into the castle was crazy. You had to walk up a huge hill, a moat, three gates and the outer baily!

I think that the most interesting thing we learned about was the Black Death.I think that this was interesting because of all the symptoms that the people who got sick had and some of their cures that the plague doctors tried. They were interesting because some of them even lived but might have died the next plague.

I agree with you Julia. The cures doctors thought would work like keep the windows closed and burn wood in your house. Then they sufocated to the death.

I think the most interesting part was the torture. It was cool to see how people were dealt with if they did a crime. Man, compared to those days, we have it easy.

My favorite thing to learn was the black death. I still can't believe that it killed 1/3 of the population. It was interasting because I found the side affects really cool.

I think something interesting about our middle age unit was the torture that they used. They didn't have technology like we do now, where we can shock people with electricity. They used rats and cages and whatever worked. It's interesting, though horrifying, because they could've kept them prisoner or restrain them from things but killing them felt too much for me. Though I did like learning more on the kings of England like King John. And the crusades interested me as well

I think it was learning about how lots of painters panted bright painting. But when the Black Plague came they painted death and sad paintings. Plus the paintings only had a three years difference. So it was like bright and colorful then three years later then the same painter but is death and destruction all over.

I the the Black death was the most interesting. It had many hilariously bad ways to heal that didn't work. It also has interesting that it still happens nowadays, although it's not as devastating. We also got to play a game with it.

I think the Black Death game was most interesting. It really put into perspective that survival was just luck. You could not really come up with a plan to avoid it, it just affected random people at random times. It also put in perspective about how many places you could catch the disease, and how few people were able to avoid it. 2/3 population survival is not that much.

I think that the Black Death was the most interesting to learn about. It was interesting how the people tried to treat it but failed. It was interesting that it kept coming back. It was also interesting how the Black Death has came to countries more that one time in history.

The most interesting thing for me was learning about the black death because it's scary to know that a plague can kill so many people so fast. It's also scary because it could come back one day and we don't have a cure. Plus I got to know what ring around the Rosie really means.

My favorite part of the dark ages were the castles. They looked really cool and only did they look really cool they had huge and small weapons that were insane. For most part castles were un deafeted because they had the most powerfull weapons AND had the most powerfull men to work there. That's why I think the castles were the most coolest and my favorite of the dark ages.

My favorite part of the Middle Ages Unit was the weapons part. I liked this the most because it was interesting to learn about the weapons they used in that age. Also it was interesting to know that some weapons were banned because they were too deadly and too easy to use (crossbow). You (Mr. Kaciuba) could have explained more what a morning star is because I still don't know what it is.

I thought that the part about how Pope Leo and Charlemagne fighting about how one or the other deserves more power and how Leo tricked Charlemagne into letting him crown him as king so it would show that the pope has more power.

I found torture the most interesting because it was pretty cool how if someone did something bad they would get tortured. What is also pretty cool is when they horseback ride and fight to the death.
