I think that the biggest advancement that has impacted the world today is paper "flying" money back then, coins were heavy and were made of precious metal, while paper money you could carry more with less weight. If there was no paper money, there would not be no dollar bills and the metals would probably be almost gone.

I agree with you Lidia, because without flying money it would still be hard to trade/shop. We also wouldn't be as advanced in our country without the flying money.

I agree with Lidia and Mary because with paper you could carry more with less weight. Back then the more coins you had the heaver they are. Also I agree with Mary saying that the we wouldn't be more advanced if we wouldn't have paper money or flying paper.

I agree with you, Lidia. Flying money seems more convenient to carry around, rather than heavy metal coins. And yes, we could use the metal for better purposes instead of for heavy coins.

I agree with Lidia. There is a limited supply on some things in our world. Today paper money is still used daily, and is easy to use.

I agree with Claudia and Gianna. I agree with them because if we did not have gunpowder America might not be a seperate country from Britin. I say this because if we had to use other weapons like swords, arrows, and axes the Revelutionary war might have gone differently. Also there would not be some of the good sports we have today like trap shooting, and it would be much harder for hunters to kill game. If gunpowder was not found archery might be a more popular sport than it is today. Of course the fourth of July would be way less fun and exciting with no fireworks. So, yes gunpowder is very important of modern life today.

I agree with Claudia that gunpowder is the best invention. Gunpowder helps fight in battles that we have now and it helped in the past too.

I agree! Gunpowder was used for celebrating like for fireworks. It would be a huge advantage in battle and war. If the Chinese did not invent gunpowder, many things today and the future would be a lot different.

I agree with Xavier because if we didn't have money today we wouldn't be able to buy things. It was a good thing they made money out of paper instead of coins because the coins were heavy.

I think the biggest impact was gunpowder because gunpowder is not only used for good things. One example is guns because guns are used to hurt people sometimes. One way it was used to help save people in the army, it would be hard to win if you had to fight with only your hands and less effective things

I agree and disagree at the same time. Gunpowder made it safer and more dangerous on the battlefield at the same time. 1. You could kill someone at a distance. 2. You could be that person being shot. However, paper money was a lot cheaper to make for the government and it helped our economy at the same time. That is why I think paper money was more helpful.

I agree, gunpowder may have had been a great invention. But it also has it's good and bad sides. Sure it is used for military purposes, but also illegal gun dealing

I think that the flying money is the biggest accomplishment of the Chinese Dynasties. I think that because without it we would still be carrying heavy coins. Plus we would be wasting our precious metals not on important things, such as railroad tracks for transportation, jewelry, and tools ex. axes and hammers.

I think that the invention that affects modern life today is paper money. I think this because people would still have to use those strings. Of course that was in China but because of trade and travel that idea, or something among those lines probably would have spread to America. Because of still using coins there might be a shortage or people might not have as much money because of using the materials for making coins. Coins might also be different because of people trying to find a better way to have money. Also if there was not the paper money idea somebody might not have thought of credit/debit cards.

I think the most biggest impact is paper. Back then it was called flying money because it used to blow away because of the wind. Coins where heavy to carry because they where made out of copper, gold and silver. So when paper money was made it wasn't hard to carry.

I think that the most influential invention was the invention of paper money. It was much easier to carry around and it is still used worldwide today (even if the bills have different values). Even if it took a few years to realize "wait, maybe we should have something to hold paper money easier." It was still a very influential invention that helps everyone universally.

I think the " flying " money was yet, the invention that impacted us today. Instead of carrying all these huge, and heavy coins, we could just carry paper around. Our money today is made of cotton so it doesn't " fly " when a gust of wind came.

I think that paper money was the biggest advancement because it is one of the few things we still use today in society. Be it buying food or buying clothes we cannot say that we don't still use it to this day. So that is why I think that paper money was a good one or maybe even the best invention in Chinese history

I think that "flying" money was the invention that impacted the world the most because without it we would still have coins, which are really heavy compared to paper money. Also, it made trading so much easier with the paper money than with coins.

I think the invention that had the biggest impact was the bristle toothbrush, invented by the Ming Dynasty. Because if the bristle toothbrush was not invented, we might still be using chew sticks, or flared edges. Today, most of the population uses the bristle toothbrush. I find it more efficient for teeth cleaning.

I think that paper money has the biggest impact today in our world of Chinese inventions, because there is still a lot of it around. Also, because it is still made. I think it is easy to use, because all you have to do is pull it out of your pocket, purse, or wallet, and you have it. I really like how easy paper money is!!

I think that the greatest Chinese advancement was paper("flying") money. This made a huge impact to our world toady because without it, we would be carrying around big, bulky, and heavy coins. Paper money also allows you to carry around a larger amount of money. Although coins can have a large currency if they are gold, silver, or any other precious metals, it is not as likely to carry those with you everyday. I do have a feeing it would have still been invented if the Chinese didn't, but it was still a great advancement.

I think the best inventions were paper money and gunpowder. I think it was the best invention because it was much lighter than having to carry around a belt of coins. The reason gun powder is also one of the best invention is because, how it impacted the future. If there was never gunpowder we would never have rifles, and bombs so we wouldn't have the firepower we have today.
