I think that the Ming was the most impressive dynasty because of Zheng He. Zheng He had hundreds of treasure ships that sallied around the sea. What these treasure ships did was they gave out free metriels

I agree! Zheng He was a impressive explorer with the HUGE treasure ships carrying more people and treasury then the western explorers. (Christopher Columbus, etc.) Giving out precious metals for free to show how wealthy was smart. The Ming Dynasty seems to be the most impressive.

i agree with Jack. I agree with you because he was like Christopher Columbus but had a bigger impact, and he did give out FREE materials, his ships where 3 times the of Christopher C. , so it was able to hold more things.

I agree with you jack. I agree because china might not be the way it is today without him. The borders might be bigger, or smaller or maybe there wouldn't even be a china.

Jack- I agree with you in the sense that Zheng He was a great explorer that traveled to distant places giving out free materials, but that was only by order and to make others think that China was powerful and wealthy.

I agree with Jack because Zheng He was like Christopher Columbus times one million. He sailed with a bunch of ships and gave out precious metals to other countries. Just to intimidate them that China is great.

I agree because of Zhang Hes treasure fleets he gave out free things to the poor. He also made a huge impact on sailing today. In conclusion I think Zhang He was a very important person being the Christopher Coulmbis of China

Though I do think Zheng He was impressive, I think the Mongolians in general explored and conquered more. They created the largest empire ever known.

I thing the Ming dynasty was better due to Zheng He because hes gave out some free materials which could help trade also his ship was 5 time the size than Christopher's ship. He was also smart to bring more ships for food and ships to trade while they where on there journey.

I think the better dynasty was the Ming. All because of Zheng He and his voyages across the ocean. He was a great help to the Ming dynasty's accomplishments.

I also think the Ming dynasty was better because Zheng He helped the Ming dynasty. Zheng He voyages across the ocean just to help the Ming .

I disagree with Xavier and Miah. Yes, Zheng He travelled many places with very large boats but that is just traveling. Now the Mongol/Yuan dynasty conquered one third of the entire planet. Sheng He's travels are mostly just important around Asia, but Genghis Khan conquered one third of the entire planet. In the Ming dynasty the Emperor told Zheng He to give out gifts so that China would be seen as very wealthy and powerful. During the Mongol dynasty tribes and groups were surrendering over fear that Genghis Khan and his people stroke into the people they were going to conquer. So the image that they showed was defiantly different, but I think the Mongol image was better because if people saw China as wealthy they might want that wealth for themselves. This is why I think that the Mongol dynasty was more impressive.

I think the Ming was the most impressive dynasty because Zheng He as his voyages. The boats that he made were so huge not even 10,000 people could carry it OR push it because it was V shaped. So they made a trench/moat around the boats, filled it up with water, and like a stream, the water flow pushed the boat into the ocean and the voyage finally began. His boats were like 5 TIMES Christopher Columbas's boat. Those boats included so many riches like gold, silver, and silk to give out for FREE to show off their country's riches to brag. Like who does that. Out of every commander in our history I ever heard of, I've never heard that they bragged about what stuff they had. He was also smart to bring extra boats filled with food. So I believe that the Ming dynasty was the most important impact on Chinese history.

I think the Ming dynasty is better because it has more advancements in its dynasty. The Ming also had Zhang He and his voyages to help. he helped them with traveling and trade and his boat carries 10000 people which is more then Christopher Columbases.

I think the Mongol was the most impressive. They had conquered more in about 20 years than the Romans did in over 100! That is pretty impressive, but that is not all, they even where the first to use stirrups and could conquer almost anyone they past but bad luck struck them twice when they where going to conquer Japan. I mean how bad can it get when a typhoon hits you twice in a row.

I agree with Anita. It it true that the Mongol dynasty had conquered more in 20 years than the Romans did in 100 years. The Mongols had a smaller army as well! By the end of Genghis Khan's reign, the Mogols had conquered about 1/3 of the entire world.

I think that the Mongol dynasty was the most interesting. I say this because they were the first, and only, dynasty that was not originally from China. They had unique and innovative ways of storming empires that were outside the box and wacky. Plus, Ghengis Khan was one of my favorite rulers in all of history.

FINALLY!!! Someone who thinks the Mongols were better. I also agree with you Ryan. The Mongol Dynasty was not originally from China, it was from Mongolia. Mongols did have a very unique way of conquering Empires. They would threaten people in a really bad way that when the Mongols would say war, the other people would surrender super fast. And Ghengis Khan is pretty cool.

I think the Ming where the impressive dynasty because the Ming built the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall of China is the biggest wall but the Ming only made it to keep out the Mongols. The Great Wall of China did not keep the Mongols out but building the Great Wall of China is amazing.

I think the Mongol dynasty was more impressive that the Ming Dynasty, because the Mongols Dynasty had the largest land empire in the world. They opened trade back up on the Silk Road, and they allowed the people in the land they conquered to still have some freedom, like worshiping their own religion and not the Mongols'. The Mongols even restored the Grand Canal for China.

I think the Mongol dynasty was more impressive. Not only did the the Mongols rule over one third of the world they let the people they conquered keep they're regular customs and religion. Even though they weren't Chinese they let China run as it used to. They opened up the silk road for more trade to China.

I agree with Zoie. I feel that the Mongols were more impressive and had more of an effect on history. They had a third of the world under their reign at the same time at their peak. Plus, I like how they played soccer with their enemies heads... I'm not weird ask the Mongols.

I think the more impressive dynasty was the Mongols because they conquered so much land. Genghis Khan and Kublai Khan together conquered most of Asia, some of Africa, and a small part of Europe. Even though the Ming did build the great wall of China, I still think the Mongols were more impressive.

I think that the most impressive dynasty out of the two is the Mongol or Yuan dynasty. I think this because at one point time they had control over one third of the whole globe. Genghis Khan and his followers were very war driven. Genghis Khan's most powerful weapon was fear. Some of the places that the Mongols were planning to conquer just surrendered over fear. The Mongols would play soccer with the city guard's heads, and that would strike so much fear into those people seeing them kick around their friends/families' heads. The Mongols would level whole cities and then leave a few people to warn the next people of the fears that they went through. This fear would scare people and sometimes they would just surrender. If one man was injured/killed they would level they city. This is why the Mongols were more impressive.

I think that the Ming Dynasty was more impressive than the Mongol because of Zheng He. He had really big, big ships that were about three times the size of Christoper Coloumbus. He also gave out free goods to shop just how rich he was. He also made the Forbidden city that was probeably very excpensive.

I think the Mongol dynasty was more impressive than the Ming dynasty. The Mongols overall were much more impressive making the biggest land claim of any empire or country. They also were great fighters and warriors. They were so intimidating that towns surrendered to the Mongols before they even tried fighting. The Ming dynasty was filled with adventures but, they didn't get nearly as big of a land claim.

I think the Ming Dynasty is most impressive, because of the inventions that impacted the modern society. Such as the bristle toothbrush, ship rudders, and woodblock printing. Most people in the world today use a bristle tooth brush, or woodblock printing or movable type was a great advancement compared to previous inventions.

The Mongol Dynasty was pretty cool, to me anyways. The conquered 1/3 of the world in about 40 years, that's more then what the Romans conquered in 400 years. Also, the Mongols weren't Chinese, they were Mongolian. It was also cool how the Mongols would play soccer with their enemies heads....I'm not weird, I swear! Those are my opinions on why the Mongol Dynasty wa- I mean IS the best out of the Ming and Mongol.

To me the Ming dynasty was way better than the Mongol dynasty. The Mongols may have been extremely violent which is cool but the Ming dynasty just seemed more professional. Zheng He just seemed more impressive of how big of a fleet he had and how big his ship was, and how he went to other countries handing out precious materials to intimidate people.
