I think that Augustus made the biggest impact (good). He was the first emperor, and he also started Pax Romana. He created a Police Force, and a Fire Department. Trade and business grew, while life improved for all people, including people that the Romans had conquered.

I agree with Tiffany. Augustus was the first emperor, and he had a huge impact. He not only had Pax Romana, he created buildings to help and protect the citizens of Rome. He only cared about one thing: Rome.

I agree. Usually the when you care about something you usually contribute more to it. When you do that, you usually make a bigger impact.

I agree with Tiffany that Augustus had the biggest impact, in a positive way, because he created the police force and fire departments. He also started "Roman Peace" or Pax Romana which really positively affected Rome. What Abby said about Augustus is also very true. He truly cared about Rome.

I totally agree because without Augustus then the Empire would have most likely would have been really weak because there would be no Pax Romona.

Also if it weren't for Augustus, the Empire would not exist. So this made a really big impact, because this ended the Republic, and it started the Empire. So if it weren't for Augustus, I am pretty sure that Rome would have fallen much quicker. I mean eventually the lower class people would get angry with the Republic, even though they were already for the death of Julius Caesar. So I'm guessing that the lower class would have attacked the Republic and a war between the Republic and lower class would begin. so that leads to many parts of Rome ruined. Then poof, Rome is gone. So Augustus did make a really big impact.

I agree with Tiffany and Abby. Augustus made a great impact for the Roman Empire due to him making great changes to the Empire during his rule of being an emperor.

I agree with Julia S. because wars would appear if Augustus never became the Roman Emperor. This would rapidly shorten Rome's survival in the battlefield especially since the warriors could turn on the republic. Without Augustus, like everyone has said really, Pax Romana would never dawn upon Rome so they wouldn't have the time to regenerate a progression of conquering. This concluding Rome's absolute failure would've been without Augustus.

I agree with Tiffany because Augustus had a good impact to the roman society. He created the fire department and a police force. Augustus was a great emperor for Rome with the economy improving and the people happy.

I agree with Tiffany, because Augustus did do a lot of good things for Rome. I really think that Nero had the biggest impact, because he did a lot of bad things witch made Rome realize that not all emperors are good.

I think it was Augustus. Augustus made the largest good impact on Rome. For one thing he started the Empire, a new era. Also he stopped Cleopatra and Mark Antony from taking rule of the Empire.

I agree with you Izzy. Not only starting the Empire, but he defeated Mark Antony And Cleopatra from taking rule of the Empire. I thought that was really important during his rule. I mean if it weren't for Augustus, Rome would be......gone.

I think Augustus made the best and biggest impact because without him the Roman empire might not have last as long as it did. They wouldn't have flourished in trade and their empire wouldn't have gotten stronger

I think that Augustus had the greatest impact on Rome. I mean he created the police force and a fire department. Also during August's time as emperor, business and trade grew. So this was really great for the Roman people. Lastly, he created Pax Romana ( time of peace in Rome) During this period of time, this let Rome grow. So I say that Augustus made the huge impact in Rome during his time of rule.

I think that Augustus made a good impact on the Roman Empire because without him, the time of Pax Romana would've not existed. He also created police and fire departments which helped Rome stay safe. Since Augustus created these departments it reassured the people that they would be safe in Rome. These are the reasons Augustus made good impacts in the Roman Empire.

i agree with Jessica but partially disagree. I said the same things about him bringing on Pax Romana and about the protection forces, but I didn't say Pax Romana wouldn't have happened. I don't know if it would have or not, but I think that another person would have come along, declared themselves the first official emperor, been a good emperor, and started Pax Romana. I might be wrong, but that's what I think.

I think Augustus/Octavian had the biggest good impact. What if Augustus didn't become emperor? The Roman empire would not have existed because Octavian started it all. I mean right?

I think Augustus had the biggest impact in a good way because he changed the the Republic to an Empire. Without him the Coliseum would not of been made or Pax Romana(Peace time in Rome). Without Pax Romana Rome would be easily defeated.

I think that Augustus had the biggest impact in a good way as emperor because he started the Pax Romana which is the peace time of Ancient Rome and he the one who changed the republic to a empire. Without the Pax Romana there won't have been advancement to Ancient Rome and wars will happen against Rome.

I agree with Jason because I also think that they would have had a lot of wars where they could possibly lose in, but since Augustus came around, there were no wars and a time of peace

The only way Rome was ever able to continue conquering was due to Augustus' having incredible impacts on Rome. Once Augustus brought Rome's saving peace time, Pax Romana, it allowed Rome to restore itself to maximum power. This led to Augustus making police departments and firefighting departments, Rome became a stronger and safer place. A good thing that made Augustus important is that the Romans relied quiet a bit. This concluding why Augustus made the best good impact on Rome.

Gianna, I agree with you for Nero being having the biggest bad impact, but not overall. It was really terrible that he killed those people, and the presents thing. However, I think that Augustus still had the biggest overall impact since he created Pax Romana, the protection forces, and improved the army and trade.

Augustus did had the biggest affect to the empire because he was the first emperor. If Augustus wasn't around then who know what would have happened to the republic. It would have probably been the end of Rome or Mark Antomy would become emperor and rule with Egypt. These are reasons why Augustus made the biggest impact.

I think Caligula was a major part in Roman history. This is due to the fact that he set back Roman advances. If he was not an emperor the Roman society would have grown and became better.

I think Augustus made the best impact on Rome. I think this because Augustus starts Pax Romana, introduces a police force and a fire station. Augustus generally made Rome a better place even for the places Rome conquered.

I think Augustus had the biggest impact on Rome because he started/marked the beginning of Pax Romana, or "Roman Peace." Augustus also made the police force and fire department, which really must have shown how much he cared about Rome. I feel like the bar should've been set pretty high after Augustus, but seeing how wacky some of the next emperors of Rome were, it didn't seem like it was. I wonder why...

I believe that Augustus was the biggest impact on the Roman empire. Not only was he a good emperor, he was the first. Having a big impact on the Romans like that either makes them happy or unhappy. He somehow made them both at some point.

I think Nero had a impact on Rome in a bad way because he really only cared about himself. Like a lot of other bad emperors Nero only cared about himself he killed his mom, stepbrother, and wife mainly because he had no self control. So I think Nero did not improve Rome or setback Rome.

I think that emperor Nero had the biggest impact on Rome, because he did a lot of bad things. Like, stole paintings, and even burned down most of Rome! This is why I think emperor Nero had the biggest impact on Rome.
