I think Justinian's greatest accomplishment was building the Hagia Sophia. It only took 6 years to build which is extremely fast. It took 10,000 men to build and was only built using man power and without cranes and technology we have today. It is also the largest unsupported dome in the WORLD! thought Justinian had many other great accomplishments, this one stands out to me the most.

I think Justinian's greatest accomplishment was reconquering the land to reunite the Roman Emperor. I think that because rebuilding all that land would take a while and a lot of effort. I think that they should have credit for that.

I agree with you Delaney, Though I did not say what you said I still think it is a great accomplishment. It would take a lot of time to get the land back from the old Roman Empire so it was an awesome accomplishment. I definitely think he should get credit for that.

I don't believe the Hagia Sophia was the greatest accomplishment, but however it was a great accomplishment. It was also very impressive that it only took 6 years to build considering that they didn't have the same technology we have today.

I believe putting an end to the Nika rebellion was the greatest accomplishment. I thought that it was smart how he lowered ll the rebels into the Circus Maximus(I think that's what its called) and killed them all. But most importantly it was his wife Theodora who persuaded him to stay an fight that rebellion.

I agree with Angelina, because Theodora helped keep Justinian from running away. He made a clever move by saying he would have a "conversation" with them.

I agree with you Angelina, He was very clever leading them all into the Circus Maximus. Plus it goes to show how street smart Theodora was.

Putting down the rebels of the Nika rebellion I think was more cruel than anything. Violent protests are never the answer but to kill 30,000 people is ruthless. And that is exactly what Justinian did. I think the Hagia Sophia is pretty impressive. Building any structure that large and that fast (6 years), without the modern technically we have today is unimaginable. I think it was smart to rush the building of the project so he would get/ be given credit for its construction.

I think the end to the nika rebellion is one of his great accomplishmetns . I think thus because if he didnt stop his emipire would be ruin. His empire would be ruined because they all would not be on hi side.

I think that Justinian's greatest accomplishment was the putting down of the Nikka rebellion. His wife was smart enough to keep him from running. He decided to have a "conversation" with the people who rebelled, but when they came they were all slaughtered.

One of Justinian greatest accomplishments was getting rid of the Anika rebellion. If he had not they would have supposedly terrorized the town causing more destruction. That could cause serious problems for not just Justinian but everyone else. Stopping it allowed him to then build the Hagia Sophia, which is a wonderful church.

I think the Hagia Sophia was Justinian's greatest accomplishment, It was that amazing of an advancement but it was a amazing feat. First, It has the largest free standing dome. Second, It had 7 wars fought just about it. Plus its so beautiful, with its art and craftsmanship, saying it only took 6 years.
