I think Japan ws the most interesting for lots of reasons, but the most because they had isolationism. It was interesting to learn how they grew without influences.

I agree Josie it was really cool how they still develop when in isolationism. Also I agree because isolationism was cool because when your in Isolationism how do you still develop I do not know because you are cut from the rest of the world but Japan still did it.

Yes, I do understand that Japan somewhat grew under Isolationism, but when Matthew Perry's fleet encountered them, it really hit hard. If you noticed in the pictures of that day we looked at, Japan's fleet of ships seemed microscopic compared to the U.S's.

I just want to point something out: China was the one to come up with the idea of Isolationism in the first place. Japan copied them.

I think Japan was the most interesting to learn about because of the policy of isolationism. It is cool to see the progress and advancements Japan made without foreign influences. The advancement of gun powder plays a big role in our lives now and just look the Japanese accomplished it.

I would say Japan because it was fun to learn about the ninjas and how they were farmers. Also it was fun to learn about the samurai and that they fought for honor. Also I like playing S.P.A.M. Also it was fun learning about the Ninjas and samurai because I never knew that ninjas were farmers I just thought they were just trained by people. Also it was fun to see all the weapons the ninja had. Also I liked learning about how when Japan went to isolationism and when Perry came with tons of ships and told them to stop.

I agree I think it's funny that they weren't even trained warriors, yet they still affected Japan. It must have been such a shock to see all those ships there, because they had no idea what they were missing out on.

I am realizing that most people are picking Japan. I wonder why? Probably, because Japan had many influences that are still used today. We probably use something in our lifetime that was invented by the Japanese or Japan!!!

I thought Japan was the most interesting to learn about since we had a role play to see what it was really like. Also, they had isolationism which was cool to learn about. I don't know why but I feel like I can connect with them because I don't really enjoy socializing as much as many others in this world.

I personally appreciated Japan the most because there was, in my opinion, a lot more interesting information. The ninja topic really got me into Japan. Also, I liked playing SPAM. That was enjoyable. Also, there wasn't much interaction in China or India so I came to like Japan more.

I believe Japan was the most interesting, first because of their policy of isolationism. The fact that Japan grew significantly without outside influinces is amazing. Another reason why I liked Japan is because I enjoyed learning about the ninjas and their tactics and reasoning to go up against the samurai.

I think that the most interesting civilization was Japan. I think this because they are the ones who went into isolation. I don't think that they should have but I thought that it was cool getting to learn about the isolation. We definitely got to learn something new that was very interesting with Japan. I think that Japan interested me the most because they mostly had a really cool civilization. That's what makes learning fun!!!!!!! (insert laughing face emoji here)

I agree with you guys, Daniel, Josie, and Delia because we learned a lot in the Japan unit and although I do not agree with isolation, it was one out of the many things we learned about Japan. Japan put many influences on other places/people and I had fun learning about Japan the most.

My favorite topic was DEFINITELY Japan. We were able to interact with our friends more in this unit that China or India. I believe that the information was more interesting in Japan. We learned about how the adoption of Isolationism changed Japan, possibly for the better.

I think the most interesting Asian civilization we learned about was Japan. I thought it was pretty cool how Feudal society in the reign of the 3rd Tokugawa shogun turned the peasants against every higher class. This turned into the Ninja warriors. Their training methods were really complex, and a lot of thought went into it. I also thought the cause and effect Japan's idea of the Policy of Isolationism was interesting, too. I get that they were trying to keep Japanese culture authentic, but it really harmed the empire in the long run. I also thought that Europe and Japanese society being organized the same way(feudalism), and in the same general time period was also pretty cool.

I also thought China was cool because it was really interesting to learn about the Mongols.I it was awesome who Genghis khan conquered so much land. Also who they use to get to a battle and people would already surrender. Also I like learning how the Mongols were expert horseman with bow and arrows.

I like Japan the best because we got to all play a role in the Feudalism Pyramid and I felt like we got a taste of what it was all like. Of course, there were no blood, sweat, and tears like it would've been actually, but it was like a demo.

As Daniel said, i think it was cool to learn about who ninjas really were. When i thought of a ninja I always though of a awesome, greatly trained, fighter, and was suprised to learn that they were just farmers and rejected samerai who wanted revenge. Also, Mr. Kacubia made it fun to learn about Japan with games like S.P.A.M. Another reason that I liked learning about Japan the most was because of their 200 year period of isolation. It was cool that inside of Japan still expanded with no trading and spreading of ideas from other countries.

I honestly think that all of the civilizations we learned about were interesting, but since everyone is choosing Japan and some are choosing China, I am going to pick India. I thought it was cool how we could see the great achievements of Akbar, but then see the downfall of the Mogul' because the emperor after him failed to uphold the empire. Other rulers also made great accomplishments in architecture. Shah Jahan build the Taj Mahal, which is one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Therefore, I think that the Indian civilization was very interesting to learn about.

In my opinion, Japan was the most interesting civilization that we learned about. Contrary to popular belief, Japan not China saw the rise of the Ninja. Them plus the samurai were very interesting, and the fact that they went into solitude, AKA isolationism. The whole social organization/class system of Feudalism, especially during the 3rd Tokugawa dynasty, was very interesting to learn about.

I think the most interesting Asian civilization is Japan. One interesting part about Japan is the Fudel pyramid. I think it organizes the country or empire much better than man other ways. Japan is also very interesting because ninjas started there. I think ninjas are creepy tho because they are unseen and kill you without anyone knowing who or what killed you. The coolest part about ninjas is that they are never seen. Those are two reasons why I think Japan was the most interesting.
