I would like to live in a republic because in a republic we(men, sorry girls) have rights to pick. We have rights to pick our leader. We have right do be someway in an order but not that much by force. If we were in a monarchy we get way to demanded by a king. I'd rather have little rights than no rights at all.

I totally agree. Instead of having no right of who you want to become leader, you can have a leader you would like to lead. I'd also rather have little, tiny rights than no rights what so ever.

I agree I would like to have my own rights and not have one person give them to me. Another thing is that in a Monarchy it is inherited so if someone is psychotic well that is bad.

I agree because one person can destroy the empire if they are crazy enough. In a republic we have rights to get a chance to pick what we want.

I would like to live in a republic because in a republic, unlike a monarchy, you (men) can elect you want as your leader. In a monarchy you have no rights. Instead of having no right over deciding who your leader is, I would much rather get to pick who my leader would be. Also, a monarchy has an emperor or king/queen. If you were not born into this branch of family type, you probably had no chance of being somewhat of a fair leader. In a republic, you can elect who you want. So instead of an unfair, snobby leader, you have a more likely chance of having a fair leader.

I agree with Mariah because everyone has the right to elect their leaders, not just men. I would also not like to have someone rule what I can and can do by a kin or queen. If you were in a monarchy you would not have as much freedom if you were in a monarchy.

I agree because everyone has an equal say in a republic. In a Monarchy you are almost forced to deal with the ruler because it is inherited.

I agree with you, Mariah because in a republic you are not under the control of one ruler, you have more freedom to do what you want. You can also elect who want and have a better chance of a good and fair ruler. If women had power back then, do you think it would change how to world is today?

Marish I agree with your point that in a republic the people can vote on their leader which is the biggest difference between a Monarchy and a republic. But what if the candidates in the republic are both bad options? What happens to the large majority of the population whose candidate does not win. They are stuck with ruler they don't like, at least in a Monarchy you do not have the possibility to lose the candidate you want to win. Finally, in a monarchy what if the ruler is awesome that ruler can have power for life. In a republic a president can only be in power for 8 years max which limits his ability to make major changes.

I understand your points but, I personally would want to live in a republic because if a majority of these votes are going to this person, most people like this person. Yes, you may lose your vote. But, if most people voted for one person that you didn't want to win yet they won, there must be a reason. I don't think people would want a leader who is TRYING to hurt them or is TRYING to harm what they love. You may want a Monarchy, but these are most of the reasons I wish to be in a republic. Also, that was a pretty big fail in saying my name. It's okay as long as you don't call me Maria. I personally hate it. :)

I would perfer a Republic because everyone has a voice. In a monarchy only one person decides what the want to do. In a Republic everyone can vote and is equal.

I would like to have a republic because everyone has a say in who is leader and who is not. In a Monarchy, only certain people can choose the leader. I like that in a republic everyone has a chance to vote and have a say but some people choose not to vote even though voting is very important.

I would rather have a republic. I would want this because citizens would have the right to choose what they want. We would not be under control of a ruler. If we were under the control of 1 ruler, they would make all the decisions for us. I think Rome gave us some of the ideas about how we run our government today. If we were under the control of one ruler, we would have no power. I would also like to live in a world where the citizens have power and we have to right to vote.

I disagree with you. What happens if you aren't king? Not everyone gets to be king you know. Also, you probably don't remember who/what you were in your past life...

I would rather live in a republic because everyone has the same rights. Also you get to chose your leaders men and ladies. In a monarchy you don't get to choose who you want to rule and who you don't. You will not be ruled by a king and or queen, so you get to choose how you want to live.

I would want to live in a Republic. One reason is because in a Monarchy there is a high chance only men would be chosen, rather in a Republic men or women have a chance to be president. Another reason is because we get to vote on the president, rather than in a Monarchy you probably don't get to. The king may be a total jerk and nobody can do anything to get rid of them. ( They'd probably be put to death) I'm pretty sure that in a Republic they can get rid of the president because what did they do when a president dies?

I would have a republic. I think people should have the right to choose what they want. Then you at least get a chance to get what you want.
