When comparing the rule of two Mughal rulers; Akbar & Aurangzeb, we can see they are polar opposites. Akbar is clearly a good leader while Aurangzeb is clearly a bad leader. Compare either Akbar or Aurangzeb to one person/leaders/rulers whom we have learned about at any point this year. Please state why you believe they are similar.

I don't think they are similar in fact they are complete opposite for the simple fact that they are two one is a good leader one is a bad leader I think they are not the same and don't know how to show how similar they are when I see many differentness thus no similar by comparison

I think you can see this in another perspective. Though you are supposed to compare to another person in History.

I think that Akbar is like Constantine. I think this because both people did something that had to do with religion. Constantine removed the ban on Christianity. This helped many citizens because many citizens were Christians. Akbar is like Constantine because Akbar changed things to help non-Muslims. Akbar allowed non-Muslims to be government officials. He also began a religious tolerance policy and there was no discrimination. He also ended the tax on non-Muslims and all citizens had to pay taxes. Overall, Akbar and Constantine are similar because they both did good things that had to do with religion

I agree with you because they both did things that benefited their religous people. But I think that they also helped with things not having to do with religion such as Constantine moving the capitol of Rome to Constantinople and Akbar moving the capitol of India to Agra.

I think I can compare Akbar to Genghis Khan because even though Genghis killed a lot of people. He also united the roaming nations of Mongolia. Akbar did not do all good things either just like Genghis So they are comparable.

I think Akbar and Constantine are alike. I think they are alike because first off they both made there own capital city. Constantine made his capital city of Constantinople, Rome. Akbar made his city capital of Agra, India. They both helped there government also. Constantine helped his government by moving it to the west and making it more rich/wealthy. This happened because the trades had to come through Constantinople and they had to pay to get out and in. Akbar also helped his government by making the citizens not pay a special tax anymore. This is why I think that Akbar and Constantine are very alike.

i say that Akbar and constantine are similar by they both having their own capitals. Another reason is how constantine lifted the ban of christianity and Akbar allowed non-muslims to be gov. officials to win their loyalty. Then, Akbar lifted the special tax of non-muslims.

I agree with you Alex. I agree with how you said that they both had their own government capitals because Constantine moved the capital city to Constantinople and Akbar moved the capitol. Akbar and Constantine both did things that benifited the citizens that had to do with religion.

I think Nero and Aurangzeb are very similar. They both persecuted people because of their religion. Nero killed and tortured Christians because he was polytheistic, while Aurangzeb made Hindus pay a special tax, burned their temples, and tried to convert Hindus to Muslim because he was Muslim.

I totally agree with you. Nero and Aurangzeb both treated people who weren't their religion horribly. I think it was totally unfair to all of the non-Muslims/non-polytheistic people.

I agree with you Cara. Both Aurangzeb and Nero persecuted people because of their religion. I think it is not fair to the people that got percicuted because of their religion.

I agree with you Maddie. Nobody should be treated wrongly for their religion. Everyone is human and everyone believes something else.

I think that Aurangzeb and Nero have multiple similarities. Both made were unfair to people in religions that weren't their own. Aurangzeb made Hindus pay a special tax that Muslims didn't have to pay. He also burned Hindu temples and tried to convert them into Muslims. Nero tortured/killed Christians since they weren't polytheistic like him.

I agree that Nero and Aurangzeb are very similar. They were very harsh to other religions and they both killed so many people. It was very unfair in both times because everyone was different.

I think that you can compair Aurangzeb to Nero in many ways. Both of them percicuted people because of their religion Nero killed Christians because they were monotheistic not polytheistic like he was. Then Aurangzeb tried to convert Hindus to Muslims because he was Muslim. Both of them did bad things to people of a different religion because they both wanted people to only be in the religion that they followed.

I will compare Aurangzeb to Nero. They both persecuted people for their religion. Such as, Nero blaming Christians for the fire. Also, Aurangzeb destroyed Hindu temples. Coincidence?

I can compare Akbar to Jahangir, who is Akbar's eldest son. Akbar gave fair taxes to everyone to make everyone equal. Jahangir was similar and wanted to get loyalty from each religion. Jahangir improved social conditions without interfering with customs.

I think that Aurangzeb and Nero are very similar because they both did terrible things while they were ruling. They were both very rude to other religions. Many people were killed because of their religion. Christians were killed by Nero and many Hindus were forced to become Muslim because of their ruler.
