I don't think that any of the dynasties were influential. They all had great accomplishments that helped the dynasties in their own way. A lot of the inventions that helped out the dynasties were for trade or war.

I kind of agree with you. I can't really think of anything that a Chinese dynasty created that is really important to society today, or me.

I agree with you, delia. They all had their accomplishments and meant something. Most of the dynasties created their own inventions and discovered certain things. I think they were all influenced.

I disagree with all you people above of me!!! Many of the Chinese dynasties we are learning about have huge impacts on us today!!!! The Mongols introduced many ideas to Europe like gunpowder and the compass. The Tang dynasty not only improved printing methods which the printing press adopted but they also created paper money... Which I'm pretty sure we still use today ;-). Oh yeah and whats that other thing they created, its used in all wars today... Oh yeah gunpowder!!! I'm pretty sure that revolutionized warfare and how its fought today. Its pretty lame that some of you believe they didnt have an impact in our world!

I think the Sui dynasty was the most influental because it was one the Grand Canal was built. I think that that is something that they still use today and was great for transporting and trading. Al ot of people died making it I am sure but it is worth it. I would hate to bulid it but it is great.

I totally agree with you, Jenna! But I also think the Tang dynasty had a pretty good influence on the world. They created block printing which has a part to leading us to our printing today.

It's hard to decide, because there wasn't many dynasties. They all had some cool inventions that we all use today, but they're not all that exciting. But if I was forced to choose, I would go with the Mongol dynasty simply because they made more advancements as a whole.

I think the Song was the most influential because they made gun powder.Gun powder is so important because we still use it today a lot. Also they made the iron plow which made crops go faster. That is so helpful be cause it would suck to pull every thing in your crop and that sucks.

I believe, like Krista, that block printing was a huge advancement for the Chinese people, because it took hours and hours to make even three copies of one book. Can you imagine if the Tang dynasty had never come up with the system of printing, and we never figured it out? Imagine having to rewrite one of our long chapter books today, instead of being able to just print it.

I completely agree with you, Josie. Without the new way of printing, we wouldn't be able to write books and it would be extremely hard and if there wasn't an easier way, people would give up and we wouldn't have the books we have today

I think the Mongols were the most influential dynasty of them all. It introduced the world to the wonders of gunpowder. Without it, we would still be fighting wars with bows, arrows, and swords. But with gun powder we can reduce our enemies to ash. Also what would we do on the 4th of July without the gun powder in the fireworks? Think about our freedom that we take for granted? Nah. And yes, the Mongols invented much more than just gunpowder, which, by the way, is more evidence why they had the greatest influence. I just happen to like gunpowder more than most of the Mongols other inventions.

There are many successful dinastys. But the most successful,in my opinion is the Ming dynasty. It was the most successful Chinese dynasty because they expanded the land so much that it took up almost 1/3 of the earths land.

I feel that the most influential dynasty had to be the Ming dynasty, because even though they developed a policy of isolation, they previously went on seven voyages. This gave them an opportunity to show foreigners what China has to offer, and that it should be something that shall be remembered as legendary. They also built the forbidden city, which adds to the list of historical sites in China.

I totally agree with you, Ellen. For one, the Forbidden city is one site that needs to be remembered forever. It is unbelievable how much detail went into this city, including that it is 100% symmetric. Although, only high government officials were aloud in the city back then and of course, the Emperor, people today admire the Forbidden City's beauty. Also, the seven voyages they took and showing their wealth, just added to the accomplishments of the dynasty.

I think the dynasty that influenced us the most today is the Tang dynasty. I say this because they invented gunpowder which revolutionized war. Also, they invented printing blocks.

I think that the Mongols were very influential because of their gunpowder invention. If it wasn't for them, we would have to fight with bows and arrows and that is not as cool. Also, without gunpowder we would have trouble killing zombies on The Walking Dead. We also wouldn't be able to use fireworks for celebrations.

I think the Mongols were the most influential. This is because they invented gunpowder. Gunpowder changed history, and we still use it today. They also invented the compass, which helped many great explorers find new lands and conquer many places.

I think that the Mongols were the most influential dynasty. I think this because of the Mongols invention of gunpowder. We still use this invention today. Gunpowder has really transformed warfare as we know it. Also, they invented the compass. Think of how difficult traveling would be if we didn't even know the direction we were going in! The Mongols created astonishing inventions and we still use them to this day.
