I would prefer the republic. I think that it is better because not one ruler is getting all the power. This is important because people get mad when you try to take away there power.
I agree with you Logan. If people were angry, then they would overthrow the tyrant. This would ruin their government and result in a mess. Thus it would be a lot harder to reform order.
I agree because not only one person will be getting the power . people get mad when they try to take their power and freedoms.
I agree because the citizens have the right to vote for the ruler they would like more. It also is fair to the citizens because if there was one ruler passed down by generation. He can do what ever he would like with out asking.
I would prefer a republic over a monarchy. I think this way because then one person would not be able to become a tyrant and take total control of our nation. I want a republic because more people would be happy because in a republic there is voting.
I agree with you Cooper. One person should not be able to take control of a whole city-state. If some were force laws that would benefiting the one person.
I agree that a republic is better. Nobody can have to much control, and voting does make things fairer.
I prefer the republic. I think that because people would be fighting about if they think that is a good person or not. More people would be fighting for there own power and to role everybody else power.
I agree with that a republic is better because people get too choose who they want as there leader.
I agree with you Alissia, I also prefer the republic on how it doesn't take too much power onto one person. How someone can only stay president for 4 years.
I wound say a republic over a monarchy. Everyone is allowed to show there opinion. They choose there leaders so that things dont get bad.
I would like to have a rebublic because it is comunitive.
I prefer a republic. I prefer a republic because the leader who is leading the country won't have total control like a king in a monarchy. Also their are many people who control the country not just the president or any other elected leaders, and if those leaders do something bad they can get impeached.
I agree with you Logan M. I would have a republic too because I like the fact the people can elect the leaders.
I agree with you Logan because total control could possibly lead total annihilation. Also, if the president/ king does something wrong or bad he'll get away with it.
I choose a republic over a monarchy because you can pick your leader. In most of the other countries , you are not able to chose your leader but in America , we can. Also there will only be one leader not multiple, because in my opinion , having more than one leader is just WAY TOO much.
I agree, because you ARE able to vote for your president. But there are more "leaders" because the government helps the president make decisions that citizens requested. And again the president does make the final decision so I can see what you are talking about.
I would rather have my country as a republic. I think it is fair, but at the same time when voting, others who voted for someone else don't get what they want. It is better than one ruler having more power than the others.
i think that the Republic is better because the people get to choose. And with a monarchy the people don't get to choose and if they are a bad king they can do anything about it.that is why i think Republic is better than monarchy.
I agree with you Amahria about if they're a bad king then they can not do anything about it. They would have to deal with that rather than with a republic because in a republic you have the right to vote and choose your leader.
I prefer the Republic. That way the government doesn't get too powerful. Also, the citizens get to chose who their leader is. In a monarchy, the king or queen stays in power until he or she dies. But in a republic the person only stays in power for 4 years.
I agree with Araceli because the right to choose their leader is important, also in a monarchy the ability to rule stays in the family for generations.
I agree with cooper because if one person is in control the power it can get a little crazy. The power can really get in there head . The republic has multiple people at power making not one person to powerful. And unlike a monarchy the person or president is only in power 4-8 years if the there voted for again.
I would prefer my country to be a republic because everyone has the right to vote fore what they want and the decision gets chosen fairly. Also in a republic country the president rules for 4-8 years so a new president can get the chance to rule. But the good thing is that the president doesn't get too much power because the government helps make the decision and the citizens can take a stand for what the believe. Plus in a monarchy the citizens believes and requests do not get chosen as fairly as in a republic and the king/queen or "ruler" stays in power until they pass or die.
Yasmin I agree with your point that in a republic the people can vote on their leader which is the biggest difference between a Monarchy and a republic. But what if the candidates in the republic are both bad options? What happens to the large majority of the population whose candidate does not win. They are stuck with ruler they don't like, at least in a Monarchy you do not have the possibility to lose the candidate you want to win. Finally, in a monarchy what if the ruler is awesome that ruler can have power for life. In a republic a president can only be in power for 8 years max which limits his ability to make major changes.
I would rather live in a republic. A republic is ruled by the people. A monarchy is ruled by a king and queen. It seems that a republic you can choose what to do. In a monarchy you are told what to do.
I agreed with Logan's answer because he gave the reason on what both Republic and Monarchy mean. Also he had a lot of the same detail I had.
I think a republic is better than a Monarchy because if one ruler wants one thing but someone else wants another thing they will all come to one final agreement.
I'd choose a republic because there would be a choice. In a monarchy there's no choice and a new person president/ king has to be predetermined. In a republic even if the guy you wanted to win lost, there could be a chance the guy that won is better.
I think that a republic is better than a monarchy. My reason that a monarchy worse is that a monarchy is passed down by family. They can also do anything they want with out asking. A republic is better in my opinion because the citizens can vote fro which leader they would like.
I think republic is better a better choice then Monarchy.I think that because in a republic you get to choose your leader .Reason #2 is not just one person is getting all the power and taking all the credit.that is why I choose republic.
I agree with you Kayla N if their is more people involved than the choices will be fair. Not just one person has all the power to make an important decision.
I would choose repulic. For a country it is better if many people make a choice that is fair. So no one person does whatever they want and so they dont make a selfish choice.
I Agree with you Mia no one person should make a selfish choice. Also every choice should fair.
I agree with you Mia C, no one person should make the important decisions. I also agree that the choices made should be fair for everyone.
I Agree with you Mia the choices should be fair. So no person makes a selfish choice.
I prefer a republic because one person shouldn't make all of the decisions. If one person rules they may make choices for themselves. The choices made should be fair for everyone.
