The most influential was the telescope.Because we would still think everything revolved around the earth we found out so much about are Galaxy.
I think you are right. The telescope helps us discover our universe. We wouldn't know many things about space if it weren't for the telescope.
I think you are right Tyler. The clock also helped us so that we could tell time. If we did not have a clock then we would not be able to tell time
I believe the most influential invention was sketched by the renaissance man. Leonardo sketched the future helicopter. Of coarse it isn't the exact one we have today since back then they weren't as advanced in technology as we are now, today. This sketch did lead us to the helicopters we have today, though.
I agree Araceli. The helicopter provided another way of transportation for everyone. If Leonardo hadn't sketched the helicopter, we wouldn't have the planes and helicopters we have today.
I beleve the best was the water closet. I say this because without this our poop would be stuck in the toilet for a long time and that is nasty. So I thank Sir John Harrington for inventing the water closet, even though 200 years later Alex reinvents it.
I agree half way. Its nice to have a Mechanical Clock, but we wouldn't have no order. We did have sun dials before clocks so we would have some order. If the Clock was never invented things would be different but it would be chaotic.
The printing press clearly had the biggest impact allowing books to be printed cheaper and more easily. This helped spread ideas throughout Europe much quicker than ever before. But now, the printing press is not being used anymore since there are computers and printers...and really the printing press just isn't fun to discuss in this blog since we will be discussing it much more in class. So, the invention I will say that had the biggest impact is the water closet, a.k.a. the pooper, the john, the porcelain throne, the loo, the oval office, the poop shoot, the potty, or simply the toilet. I can go on, but I think you get the point! The toilet is something that is being used everywhere today and I a guarantee you have one in your house as well! The toilet allowed for waste to be disposed of much safer than ever before and helped with the smell of #1 & #2. The toilet help stopped the spread of disease because no longer is waste being thrown out the window of homes.
I agree with you Mr. Kaciuba. The printing press is good but computers and that have taken over. The toilet also is a very good invention otherwise everything would stink.
I think that the Clock had a big impact because it kept order in the daily lives of the citizens. If there was no time, then there is basically no order! No one would know what time it was to go somewhere, because there would be no time. Although, you can figure out the time by looking at the sun but either way, clocks are easier!
I agree with you too. Because if we didnt have a clock we wouldn't be able to tell time and would be late to things.
I disagree with you because they could tell by how dark it was and how dark it was getting. It would also be hard for them to set the clock up too. There are so many time zones it would be hard if your new to something.
I totally agree. The clock has became apart of all of our every day lives. Without it we probably wouldn't get out of school as early. That is not good at all. But we also use it to cook. But yeah I definitely agree.
I agree Arianna, the clock was very influential and kept order. However, I do not think it was the most influential. Time is pretty important, but there were other ways to keep track of time, and they could be used instead of the clock. I think gunpowder and the musket were more effective because they changed more things, like war and even celebration.
I agree with you Arianna C. because it did help daily life and the citizens to get around places. Also it was small so you could have it any were you go.
I think the most influntail invention of the ren. was the clock. I think this because without it we wouldn't be able to tell time. We also still use it today.
I agree. because if we did not have time then we would not know the days along with time.
I say the match because before people couldn't really start a fire easily, without burning something down. It made warming homes in the winter easier. the only problem is that is that it activated with very little friction, causing it ti go off without you knowing.
I think the musket and gunpowder were the most influential inventions. One being, people use them a lot today, and they are very helpful. Two being, when the musket was invented, war became different. This was a new invention that allowed people not to have to use as much strength as you do with a bow, but was just as effective, if not more. Also, it was easier to aim than a bow, and people did not take as long to train for using the musket. Gunpowder was also very influential because now bombs could be made, and affect enemies within a large blast radius. Also with gunpowder, fireworks came about. Even though they were not effective in war, people still loved them.
In my opinion I believe the musket was the most influential.I think this because not that it can be used in bad ways, but how people use weapons like the musket today, or guns. Just think both World War's used guns. The wars we are in all over the world use guns. I doubt that there is a part of the world that uses swords to fight. Also people in homes, they can get a license for a weapon and use it to their advantage in any way. Also the musket has evolved over time, the gun has evolved into different guns that I am not going to get into. But this is why I think the musket had the biggest impact, because the way it has evolved and changed.
I agree with you Logan M. I think that that had a huge influence on today's wars. If that did not happen who knows if we would be fighting with guns today.
I think that the match was the most important because it is still used today. It helps people light fires through out history and its small and can be hidden well. It helped many people survive through the night when hiking.
I think that the match was the most important. I think this because you could set the tip of an arrow on fire with a match and burn your enemies. It also helped light houses up so they could stay up longer at night time.
I think the most influential invention was the watch. I picked the watch because before people really did not know what time it was. But when he watch came it was mind blowing the watch even could fit right in your pocket. After the watch it just became better and better for the tect world.
Its hard to just pick one invention because their all so amazing. I Cant pick just one so I'll pick 2. The 2 most influential Inventions of the renaissance is Gun powder and Glasses.Gun power because it can help stuff blow up. If it wasn't for Gun powder we would have lot world war I and II. Glasses because without them almost half of the american population would be half blind. All the people who needed Glasses would now be useless.
I agree with you, Without the invention of glasses I wouldn't be able to see 8 feet away. A lot of the population also has glasses so thank goodness for that invention.
I agree with both of your decisions. To me there is still a problem. if gun powder wasn't invented you said that we would have lost but I just wonder how you came up with that conclusion.
The most influened one was the clock. If they did not invent it then we would not be able to tell time. If we were not able to tell time then we would be all mixed up in our days.
In my opinion the eyeglasses were the best invention. the printing press was great and all but what good was it if the people couldn't see the runes on the page. This is the reason I for one think the eyeglasses are the best invention of the renaissance.
People could still see without eyeglasses. It was just a few people that needed glasses to see. So that is why I disagree with you.
I agree with you Ray. Because people cannot see without the eye glasses and then more people could read.
I think the printing press was the best invention that we learned about in class. I think this was the best invention because it made book making wayyyyyyyyyy faster and it made it easier for people to be able buy books and read them. This also made it easier for ideas to spread around to different places.
I think the best invention was the printing press. It was a huge time savor. Instead of making one book in 6 month, hundreds in that time. It helped print any papers a lot quicker for anything.
I agree with you Logan A. because making one book before the printing press would WAY to long
I think the telescope was the most successful in the Renaissance. I think this because they got to see the bacteria in there water and stuff like that and they knew that they had to fix it so they don't get sick. And maybe also could have helped how sanitary that you were.
In my opinion I think the printing press had the biggest impact because you could make millions of books in only a few months. Also they were now cheaper than they were before because making one book would take like 6 months.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
