I believe that Augustus had the biggest impact on Rome. I believe this because he started a Empire with only one ruler on his own. This is very impressive because Rome had been in a Republic sense it started. I think that the Republic is better because more people have a voice.

I agree with you Logan, he did have a big affect, but not the biggest (in my opinion). Caesar did stat the empire, but really that and giving the plebeians more rights are the only major good things that he does to Rome. Diocletian had a bigger impact.

I think it would be Julius Caesar. it would be him because he cared for the plebeians and helped them out. Also because he got killed at a party and his murderers were hunted down and murdered as well.

I think Augustus Ceaser helped because he started the empire. He helped plebians. He gave them more rights and almost made them as even as patricains.

It caught my eye when you said made them as equal as the patricians that is t true because all throughout Romes history the plebians were lesser from the patricians.

I don't agree, but he did have a bad impact on Rome. The fire did destroy Rome. Which means they would have to rebuild it. Starting over. Otherwise a he had an impact

In my opinion, Diocletian had the most immense impact on Rome. For one, he split Rome in two, which greatly impacted the areas of wealth. This meant that the Eastern half would be better to live in, richer and have a better military. He also contributed to the end of Rome by splitting the empire. The Eastern half began to hire mercenaries to fight for them. The mercenaries were not as loyal as the previous Rome army, so they didn't fight as hard. Because they didn't fight hard, Rome's army was not as powerful as it was. Diocletian, in my opinion, had the greatest affect on Rome.

I agree with you cooper. The wealth change of the area was enormous. Your right that the eastern side had a better military because they could pay it. It weakened though cause the patricians hired them as body guards not soldiers. I totally agree that he had a big affect on Rome and I think it was you went both ways with the same guy.

I see your point Cooper but I disagree with you. I think having one side rich and one side poor made them fall quicker. When the Gotts and Huns attacked they got all of the west land which gave them more space and land. If the money they had was equal I think they could have survived.

I disagree with you Logan because if it was split equally then if one part got taken over the other would have lost that wealth and got taken over easily but since the east was wealthier they lasted well longer then the west 1000 years they could've been taken down easier if it had the same wealth

I think the emperor that has the most impact on Rome would be Diocletian. I think its Diocletian because 1 he split the empire in 2 and put another guy in charge of the other half. also Constantine, made his empire so powerful it blocked out all of Rome's resources.

I think Julius Ceaser had the biggest impact on Rome in a good way. I think so 'cause he was the first person to name himself dictator for life. He also made it a better place for the plebeians and gave them jobs. Also, he defeated the Guls which even if he did that before he became emperor, I don't think there was an emperor that could have done that and become an emperor in one life.

I agree with you Ray and I like how you had good and bad. When you said no emporer could have defeated the gulls I thought you were wrong because there were still times where Romes army was strong I think they could've defeated the gulls with a lot of different emporers but it would be tough.

In my opinion Augustus was the biggest impact on Rome. I think he really helped and formed Rome as it was back then. He Marked the end of the republic and the start of the empire. I think Rome did better under the empire than the republic. That is why I think he was the best.

I agree with you Logan A and Logan H . I do believe Octavian had the biggest impact like how he ended the republic and also helped the plebians not suffer as bad as they did before.

I think that Nero had the biggest impact on Rome. I believe that because he started the fire that burned half of Rome down to the ground just to rebuild it the way he wanted, and blamed the Christians. Then after he started the persecution of Christians, making it illegal to be Christian in Rome.

I agree with you Autumm.. Nero is one of the emperors people mostly know about. Which means that he must have done something big to become so known. Which was his fire, and blaming the Christians for all of this to build so much hatred against this religion. Cruel, just cruel. To build after that persecuting Christians just like that, taking life, after life, after life.

I believe that Octavian had the biggest impact. Octavian was the one who ended the republic and was the first Roman emperor. Also he helped plebians instead of leaving them in the dust just like his father Julius Caesar which was also very popular. This is why I think Octavian is the best, sure there are some other good emperors like Diocletion and Constatine but I think Octavian is most important.

I think Julius Caesar had the biggest impact in Rome . Julius Caesar helped many plebians get back on their feet. Plebians started getting treated more fairly which was important because they made up a large population of Rome

I think Julius Ceaser had the biggest impact on Rome because he changed the government completely from a republic to an empire that is a big transition and he did it by himself I mean he did have lots of supporters don't get me wrong. That is another reason he was a big impact because if you have support from plebeians and some patricians then that is really good 95% of romans were plebians so he had lots of support. He helped the plebians by giving them more rights and more equal sentences. He was changing Rome for the good but we didn't see what could of happened if he hadn't died so maybe it was good he didn't keep going if he got to much power that would be bad. But the point is what we know is he was a good person he also defeated the Gulls an enemy of Rome. He could've probably conquered many other people in his life rule because he declared himself dictator and expanded Rome but when the senate killed him that was the end of him nothing they could have done. In conclusion I think Julius Ceaser was the biggest impact on Rome and it was for good not bad like Nero. There were other good people like Constantine who stopped persecution on Christians but I think Julius Ceaser was the best.

I think Julius Caesar was the biggest impact on Rome because he was the one to start helping Plebeians with there land and money. He also was a very good fighter for the Roman army making it a stronger force.
