Rules & Procedures
Materials:
Responsibility and organization are highly stressed in 6th grade. In order to learn effectively, you must have all your required materials every time you come to class.
Everyday you are expected to come to class prepared and ready to learn. Therefore,
ALWAYS make sure that you have the following materials:
· Planner
· Student Interactive Notebook
· Pencil or pen
Mr. Kaciuba’s Class Rules:
1. Follow the directions the first time they are given.
2. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
3. Students will respect the space, property, and feelings of others.
4. Bring all books and materials to class and be ready when the bell rings.
5. Students will wait to be dismissed by the teacher when the room is quiet and clean.
Consequences For Breaking The Rules:
A student’s action determines the severity of his/her punishment. Punishment is not always broken down into different phases it depends on the severity of the behavior.
First warning: A verbal warning and conference with the teacher
Second warning: The student will have a one on one conference with the teacher. Then he/she will call home to their parents and explain the misbehavior.
Third warning: Office referral

Assessment: Your Social Studies grade will be based on a point system. Formative assignments (bellwork, homework, quizzes, student interactive notebooks) are worth 40% of your grade, while summative assessments(tests and projects) are worth 60% of your grade.

Below 59 F
