I think the most fun thing was the gladiator fights. They were super cool and when I watched the movie clip, I thought it must have been crazy to watch that. When they saw that, I wonder what they thought.

I agree with you, Abby. The gladiator fights were actually in fact very fun to learn about. It's also one of the worlds biggest mystery. Did you know there were over 3,000 bones found near the coliseum? It's pretty interesting.

I disagree because I thought that was scary not fun. I do like watching people fight and people being eaten by animals. It does not sound fun.

Something that I thought was really interesting, funny, and gross that i learned is that you poop when you die! So in Rome when someone wants someone to be killed, they would cut off the persons head to prove they killed them instead of bringing the whole body because it would be very stinky!

I agree with you, Cheyenne. Pooping when you die is a rather... disturbing... topic to talk about. Like you said, it's gross, interesting, and funny, all at the same time!

Yea i agree with you Cheyenne. Just knowing that, right when I die I will poop, is pretty disgusting. I feel bad for the people who have to carry my body away, they will be smelling some pretty nasty stuff.

I agree that it was pretty nasty when we learned that you poop when you die. But we all do it so it's not like it's just me or you that dose it. Also my dad really likes something science so I already knew when you die you poop. But what if you just got done pooping in the bathroom and then you die would you still poop yourself?

What I thought was most interesting about Rome was how Julius Caeser named him self Dictator for life. Because of him saying that he was Dictator for life he got stabbed 23 times and the day was called Ides of March . I thought this was interesting because he called himself Dictator when there was A Roman Republic

I think the most fun thing to learn about in Rome was the Coloseum. I think it was the most fun to learn about because I had some back round knowledge. I liked to hear about what happened to the christians because I am christian. And I thought it was cool how all these events happened in the Coloseum.

I agree with you Andrew because the Coliseum reminds me of a baseball field because the place is for a sport and baseball is a sport. Also baseball is my favorite sport. I have played since I was 5.

You students who enjoyed learning about the Colosseum and gladiator fights might want to look up the different types of gladiators. There were four different types based on the armor and weapons they had. On my website there is even a gladiator game in which you can start off as a gladiator in training and become stronger and fight in different battles against other online users around the world.

I think the most interesting thing is Rome is Julius Caesar because he was very popular and even beat Gaul. I think the most interesting thing was when he beat Gaul he said "Vini Viti Vichi." That means we came, we saw, we conquered and our hockey team the Blackhawks, made their own line like that.

What I thought was interesting in Rome was the gladiators. I actually did a little research, and I found that there were multiple classes. And those classes went against certain classes. Also what I found interesting was Julius Caesar and how he helped the plebeians, but he ended up getting assassinated. Overall, there was just death in Rome, and it was really just interesting.

The most interesting thing about Rome that I learned was that you don't have to be rich to be a patrician. You can be completely broke, and be a patrician, and win the lottery, and be a plebeian! The patricians are only the descendants of the people who overcame Tarquin the Proud, but we learned that the patricians are the rich, and the plebeians are the poor. So doesn't the fact that it could be vice versa for some people sound strange?

I agree with you Josie, because it is strange that you do not have to be rich to be a patrician. It would have made more sense to be able to become a higher social class in Rome if you were rich, and lower if you were poor.

I think the gladiator fights in the Colosseum was the best! It was a cool concept except that only one came out alive and animals had to die. R.I.P. animals. Otherwise they were cool to see the weapons and armors and the fighting. Also it was the only entertainment back then besides chariot racing.

As brutal as it sounds, I also agree. Even though they were violent, they were the MOST interesting thing in Rome. For real though, God bless their souls. They faught to the death for the BEST entertainment in Rome.

The most surprising part for me was the whole thing with Antony marrying his mom-in-law. Antony married his friend's sister, which is, okay, a little strange, but okay. Then he sees her mom and marries her MOM instead, HER MOM. Now this is too weird (for me at least) and Antony would be the king of Egypt not rome, so "Triumvirate Civil War II" starts (Crazy, I know, but it happened ).

I found it really intersting that Cleopatra was married to two guys and one time. That was crazy, I never thought you could do that. On other thing I found intersting about Rome was that when they killed someone they cut off their head and brought it back to the dictator on a silver plater.

I think the most interesting thing was the gladiator fights. I find it quite mind blowing that people would be forced to risk their lives for others' entertainment. Also, the people in the crowd actually enjoyed watching their fellow citizens die right in front of their faces. I might be crazy but that's just quite mind boggling to me.

I enjoyed learning about the architecture and who built the things and why. I liked learning how long it took them to build the structure they were constructing, because I found those types of things interesting in this lesson because all the buildings were so beautiful.

The most exciting thing I learned about in Rome was the Punic Wars. The thing I liked about the wars was that Hannibal brought war elephant that the Romans didn't know how to fight them because they don't know what they are .I also liked that there were 3 wars not just 1 war in which made it more existing.

What I found most interesting was, when Julius Ceaser was brutally stabbed twelve times by the senates. I thought this was most interesting because I found it funny how the senators told everyone that they killed Julius Cearser and thay got killed.

The thing that I found most interesting in Rome was when the senate killed Julious Caesar. I found this interesting because they killed him because they thought he had too much power even though he was helping the plebeians. The senate was also interesting because they were either killed or committed suicide.

I think that the most interesting thing about ancient Rome was that they influenced a lot of things in America. One thing that they influenced was our government system. In ancient Rome, they had a Republic for many years. Now, in the United States of America, we have a Republic, and we also have branches of the government that were influenced by the Roman government branches in their Republic, where they chose their own leaders.

The most interesting I learned in the Rome unit, was that a Roman leader/king/Caesar/whatever, could do whatever they wanted to. They could go to war with anyone. They could easily kill anybody they wanted to. Finally, they could have multiple girlfriends and wives. #EEEEEWWWW_Bro. :D

One thing I thought was really interesting was when Julius Caesar named himself dictator for life. I find this interesting because no one has done that. Also he must have had a lot of courage to do that. Then to be stand Stabbed 23 time. I wonder if he knew he would if he would still have done it?

The most interesting thing for me was Julius Cesar because he named himself dictator for life when he was suppose to be put to death. Also he made the poor so we be awesome living back then. Finaly he was stabbed 23 time by the senate (the first Cesar salad) and I still wonder now, did they save it or ruin it?
