I think Justinian's greatest accomplishment is rebuilding the hagia Sophia. I think this because it shows his connections to Christian churches. It is a great part of history and a great Architectural site.

I agree with Kelsey rebuilding The Hagia Sofia was a great accomplishment but it did more than show his connections to the church. Justinian also rebuilt it to show his power but more greatly to show God's power.

I agree that one of the greatest accomplishments of emperor Justinian is the rebuilding of the Haiga Sophia because this was a symbol of his power and God's power , so this was a huge statement for his power and his religious acts. So I totally agree with what you are saying.

I think emperor Justinian's greatest accomplishment was that he built orphanages and hospitals because it gave homeless children a place to go and or to stay and if someone is really sick they can go somewhere to try to be able to get better

I think Justinian had many great and meaningful accomplishments. Though I believe that the greatest one was the Justinian code. This code was important because it made the laws clear to anyone who read them. With this new law form, Justinian brought order to the empire. Justinian code was also important because it made fair laws to woman which was needed back then because woman were treated differently which is now called segregation and it is not right anymore.

I agree with Annabel Justinian had many great accomplishments, but his greatest was making the Justinian code. He changed lots of laws and made them clearier and fairer to everyone including women.

I agree with Annabel. I think that the Justinians code was a big accomplishment because it gave woman many more rights. This was good because if woman have more rights then they could by land and they could farm if there husbands die or have to travel. So this was a very good thing for girls especially since back in those days woman were not allowed do much things.

I agree with Jacob. The reason I do agree is because you need somewhere to get treated when sick. And you can have more employment as well.

I agree with you Jacob. Justinian's biggest accomplishment was building orphanages and hospitals. This probably helped many people with their problems by being able to have a place to stay for children, and having a place where people can go to be treated if they were sick.

I also believe that emperor Justinian's greatest accomplishment is building the Hagia Sophia. I believe this because the people then believe that his decisions are right. They would think he is right because he would talk to God about the decisions.

I think that Justinian's greatest accomplishment was when he rebuilt the Hagia Sophia after it got destroyed. He could have just gave up on trying to build it but he didn't. He showed his power and God's power by rebuilding it.

I agree with most of you about Justinian's greatest accomplishment being the building of the Hagia Sophia. However, I do not agree with the why. Yes it is nice that he built it to show his and God's power but I think the craziest thing is that it was built in only 6 years. Thats an accomplishment on a whole different level! They got it built with out the modern day conveniences of electricity and huge machinery. I dont think we can accomplish a feat like that today.

I agree with Mr.Kaciuba. I think it is crazy how Justinian built the Hagia Sophia in 6 years. I also think it is insane how they built it without the technology we have today.

Justinians greatest accomplishment was REBUILDING his city. I mean its really hard to rebuild something again. A city is very very time consuming and can lose people in the process. I would be proud of my self just completing a brand new city

I think Justinian's greatest accomplishment was reconquering the land that the Roman Empire had lost. This was his greatest accomplishment because he regained all of this land which took centuries to conquer in less than a lifetime. This expanded the Byzantine Empire's land which made it more powerful and feared so less armies would attack Constantinople. Justinian was truly a great leader and general.

I agree with Daniel, this was something that must have been extremely difficult to do. Justinian being the amazing leader he was could accomplish this. A large population can be good or bad, in this case it was good because they had more protection and less armies that would attack them.

I think Justinian's greatest accomplishment was creating the Justinian code. The code gave more rights to woman and allowed them to inherit land. It was also easier to understand and the laws were better for the time period. Justinian had a lot of accomplishments, but I think that the code had the most impact on the Empire.

I agree with Haley that Justinian's greatest achievement was the Justinian Code. I think this is true because it allowed for the common folk of the empire to more clearly understand the laws the emperors and law enforcers enforce. I think that when the 12 Tables were written, only the patricians', like most of Roman officials, needs were fully cared for. They never had problems because they were educated. This was one of the main arguments in the Struggle of the Orders.

I think that Justinian's greatest accomplishment was him building orphanages and hospitals. I believe this because the orphanages gave a place for children to go if they didn't have parents. Also the hospitals gave a place for people to go if they needed to be treated for a sickness. Lots of people probably benefited from it like most people do today.

I think Emperor Justinian's greatest accomplishment was the Hagia Sophia. He wanted to rebuild this to symbolize his power and God's power. This was his greatest accomplishment because it had the largest unsupported dome at the time.

I believe that Emperor Justinian was a great emperor for the Byzantine empire. He made many improvements to the empire from building orphanages, to conquering land that the Western part of Rome had lost. I think his greatest accomplishment was writing the Justinian Code. This was a great difference he made in the empire because the common folk could finally read the laws of Rome. Whereas before, they could not understand it. So this cleared up much confusion that was created in the empire before him. This is what I believe made him popular among the plebeians or poor/low class of Rome.

I think that the greatest accomplishment of Justinian was making the laws more simple and giving more rights to the woman and the children. The citizens enjoyed and appreciated having more rights. He was one of the first people to give more rights to the citizens of Constantinople.

I think that rebuilding the Hagia Sophia was one of the biggest accomplishments of Emperor Justinian. I think this because he built it in so little time and it still stands today. I also think building the Hagia Sophia was a big accomplishment because they didn't have the edvanced tecnology and building materials that we have today that makes it easier to build buildings. Oh and even though we do have advanced tecnology and better building materials we wouldn't be able to build something like the Hagia Sophia in 6 years !!!!!!

I think Justinian's best accomplishment is that when he was taking Western part of Rome back. I would guess most emperors wouldn't even try because they would be afraid and not have the guts. Also it showed his power and that he wasn't scared of going back to Western Rome.
