I believe the printing press was the most impactful in the Renaissance. I believe it because it could print a about 100 pages a day so word got 'round faster. Also people could get more info faster

I agree with Erin. They are still used today, everyday for newspaper, just a modern version. This invention is very useful.

I agree but one thing I think you should add is that with more books the price and demand for them went down so that meant normal people could now buy books.

I agree the printing press was very important. Then what if glasses were never invented so people couldn't read what was printed. Yes that would be a modern day problem but, what if for example Kelby had glasses and she couldn't read like she loves to do and, was missing out on a bunch of good books.

The printing press clearly had the biggest impact allowing books to be printed cheaper and more easily. This helped spread ideas throughout Europe much quicker than ever before. But now, the printing press is not being used anymore since there are computers and printers...and really the printing press just isn't fun to discuss in this blog since we will be discussing it much more in class. So, the invention I will say that had the biggest impact is the water closet, a.k.a. the pooper, the john, the porcelain throne, the loo, the oval office, the poop shoot, the potty, or simply the toilet. I can go on, but I think you get the point! The toilet is something that is being used everywhere today and I a guarantee you have one in your house as well! The toilet allowed for waste to be disposed of much safer than ever before and helped with the smell of #1 & #2. The toilet help stopped the spread of disease because no longer is waste being thrown out the window of homes.

I believe printing was the best because it could print many things at once which meant more books and because there where more books the price for them went down also if they didn't come up with that we would probably still be using our hand to prints Papers and books.

I agree with you, and yes I still think we would be writing story by and or just telling people what the story is and by that people could change it just a little and could make a huge difference.

I think the flying machine made by Leonardo Da Vinci created was the most influential because today we make helicopters using the same propeller idea he first thought of. While the printing press was highly influential, nothing much came out of it besides printers and such. But with the flying machine we found a whole new mode of transportation.

I agree with you, Brendan, the flying machine was probably the most influential, because today we would not have the helicopter. Leonardo da Vinci got the idea from the maple tree seeds, that seem like helicopters.

I believe the most import thing was the helicopters because it's used today and the military could use it instead of a plane because for one it way softer and two it can stay in one spot for a long time to get the injured people.

I think the most influential invention during the renaissance was the printing press. It allowed people to not have to hand copy books. This would take hours and hours to do, but with the printing press, it could take minutes... 59 to be exact because you have to put the ink on the letters and all that good stuff.

I agree with Ryan. I agree with Ryan because the printing press was a very important invention of the Renaissance. Instead of monks taking years to write a bible the printing press could do it in minutes like Ryan said. The first book mass produced by the printing press was the bible. The printing press affects how we do things today. It lead to the printer, and like Callie said we make newspapers books and many more things that could not have been made without the printing press. The printing press also probably helped teach people how to read. We have far more books than we would have if people had to copy the books down by hand. It was easier for people to get books because there was more. Books were expensive in the Middle Ages but because of the printing press they probably are cheaper now because of the abundance that the printing press made of books. So the printing press was a very important invention of the Renaissance like Ryan said.

I find the Clock as the most impacted from the Renaissance, specifically Galileo's discovery of the pendulum. The time being off was only by seconds after that, which made things convenient. Before the clock would be about 10 or 15 minutes off.

I think that the microscope was the most important invention of the Renaissance. I think this because it has lead us to the understanding that we have today of how things work. The microscope also lead to the invention of the telescope which was very important on getting us to what we know today about space. Galileo used the telescope to discover Jupiter's four moons. Galileo's use of the telescope also made more people start to think about Copernicus's theory of the universe being Heliocentric. The invention of the microscope lead to the invention of the telescope, which lead to what we now know about space and how the universe works. Many other great discoveries have been made with the telescope. The microscope itself also made many great discoveries. The microscope lets you "zoom" in to see some very tiny things that the naked eye cannot. We are able to do a great many things with microscopes. We found out that objects are not just there but there are tiny particles that make up every object. The microscopes also help cure diseases. If we did not have the microscope we could not see if we were making cures because the stuff that you need to see is mostly very very small and we cannot see it without the microscope. There is a great important in seeing things that others can't because you can find problems that nobody could see without the microscope. With microscopes we can also see the microorganisms that nobody knew about before we were able to use the microscope and actually see them for ourselves. The microscope is very heavily used in medicine and biology. It sure helps a lot when you can see stuff that nobody knew about because we could not see the microscopic details. This is why I think that the microscope is the most important invention of the Renaissance.

I think the printing press made the biggest impact because before, the monks would hand write copies of books which would take months or years, and only the rich could afford them. When the printing press was invented, books could be copied much faster, which allowed more people to buy them. This also allowed the spread of knowledge since more people read books and, since more people read books, more people wore glasses.

I think the one that influenced society the most influenced was the microscope, because with the microscope[e you can study very small single celled organisms. Scientists are also using microscopes to study viruses and learn how to cure them.

I believe the most important invention was the printing press. I mean, we use the printing press for a lot of thing little adds you get in the mail, or even junk mail. My dad works at a printing company so he could tell me a few things, where there is one machine where it has metal plates with ink on it, so as the roll of paper goes around, it puts advertisements on them.

I believe that the printing press was the most important to the Renaissance because you can print many copies of one piece of writing in minutes. Instead of taking a very long time to write everything down, the printing press is very helpful. For example, before the printing press was invented, monks had to copy down the bible which took a very long time. Another reason why it is important is that it is used so much in today's society. If you think about it, you might realize that without the printing press, there wouldn't be any books or newspapers. In my opinion, not as many people would be able to read because only the rich and monks learned to read. My dad works at a company that makes the pigment (color) in ink, so he doesn't know as much about printing, but he has told some of the stuff he knows. I also think that the eyeglasses were the most important because some people can see without glasses. For example, in today's society, glasses are used for so much, not just being able to read. If your vision is bad enough, you could need glasses just to see the world around you. Some people can't see five feet in front of them without glasses. The eyeglasses and printing press can tie together because there would be no use of the printing press if glasses weren't made. The printing press wouldn't have been used as much if the eyeglasses weren't invented. Therefore, I believe that the printing press and eyeglasses were very important inventions in the Renaissance.

Eyeglasses were the best invention because they allowed people with eyesight issues to see. We probably wouldn't have contacts incase you don't like wearing glasses. Without glasses many could have died like when in a car you wouldn't be able to see how far away a car is and then get into a crash.
