I would live in a republic since you get to choose your leader. A bad thing about monarchy is that if the first leader did bad things, he might pass it down to his son/daughter. While in a republic, not everyone has the same views.

I agree with Emmanuel but also if that leader we could have a log line of good leaders.

I disagree with Jack, if the family is cruel then you would just keep getting a long line of people from that family.

I Also agree with Emmanuel Because A monarchy is usually bad and unjust. but it can be much better than a rebublic with a great king who has good judgement.

I agree, in a Monarchy there might be terrible leaders that will keep being passed down, plus telling you what to do. But, at least a monarchy is better than a tyrant! I would still choose a republic!

I think the same. In a republic you have more freedom. When you get older you can vote, which is really nice, because your submitting your choice instead of just a family's rule.

I agree, because the older you become the more rights you get and when you are able to vote you can vote for who you want to become president in a monarchy the king / queen rules until they die. But in a republic different people get the chance to become president. Also the government helps the president make laws for the citizens.

I Would prefer my country to be a republic because I can vote for what i want and not everything is done and decided when one person says something. This also goes to things being more fair than a monarchy. And if my country is a monarchy i would want to leave because the king might only look out for the rich or the monarchy could become a tyranny. Both forms of goverment have good and bad sides but i just think that all the residents voting is the best way to handle a decision if it impacts all the citizens and not just one persons words become law.

I agree with Trenton because,we can vote for the things we want there will be disagreements but we still can have the same equal rights.

I agree Trenton but there are possible upsides to Monarchy, you focus on the bad sides, but the leader could be righteous, and unless his son was corrupt, he would be good too, so that may be possible. Though your point is good.

I agree because I would rather vote for my leader. I also think it is more fair because you get to choose who your leader is rather than have a horrible one no one likes

I said the same thing how you can vote on what you want. I agree I would not want a king that only cares about people who are like him.

Trenton, I agree with your point that in a republic the people can vote on their leader which is the biggest difference between a Monarchy and a republic. But what if the candidates in the republic are both bad options? What happens to the large majority of the population whose candidate does not win. They are stuck with ruler they don't like, at least in a Monarchy you do not have the possibility to lose the candidate you want to win. Finally, in a monarchy what if the ruler is awesome that ruler can have power for life. In a republic a president can only be in power for 8 years max which limits his ability to make major changes.

I would like my country to be a republic because we would have more freedom. Even thought only the Majority wins and some people don't get what they want. When your in a republic your vote counts and everyone else vote counts to. When your in a monarchy we really have no choice its just runs in the family.

I agree with Jack, in a republic we still will have more freedom than a monarchy. A monarchy just runs in the family even if the family are awful rulers.

I agree Jack F. Even though they might not get what they want they still had a chance of deciding. You might not like what the person ruling in the monarchy is doing but you do not have a role in which you can change that.

I would want to live in a country with a republic. I would want to because then I would have more rights. I would also be able to live more freely. I would not want to live in a monarchy because in a monarchy when the ruler dies then the rulers kid would become the next ruler even if he/she was the worst ruler ever.

I would rather have a republic in my society because equal rights between the rich and poor are important. All will be able to vote no matter how much money the person owns. This will cause less hate in the city because everyone will be equal.

Republic, because there are more than just one person in charge. With multiple people in charge it is not just one person's opinion. They can decide what is wrong and what is right. It is not just one perspective of on what should happen it is multiple different perspective from different people.

I agree with Melle because getting different perspectives on something can help make it more of what the people want. It will also make the law or idea stronger towards needs if many people are deciding together because they each get a chance to put their ideas together and share their thoughts which keeps it from one ruler being selfish and only doing things that benefit him.

I would want to live in a republic because, I get to choose my leader and I also have the choice to vote or not vote. I wouldn´t be able to live in a world with a ruler that gets to do whatever he/she wants.

I would live in a repbublic because you get to choose your leader and not have a king that no one wants. I would also live in a repbublic because I might agree with there opinions. Also in a monachry they pass there throne down to there kids and if you dont like their how they make laws then there kid might do the same things.

I would like to live in a republic because we can vote for our leader. We can all each have the same rights without being judged. Also, we can agree or disagree without big problems happening.

I would have to say republic. I say that because everyone should get their voice heard. It would not have been fair if they did not. They should not have to live with something they did not even have a chance of deciding.

I would live in a republic because you have more freedom. There are still laws but, many people vote on them to make sure they are fair. I wouldn't want to live in a monarchy because there can be a terrible leader and their son/daughter might be just as bad or worse. It might be all terrible leaders, then you would be under terrible influences for possibly the rest of your life, while in a republic you have a say in who your leaders are. I feel that a republic is way more fair than a monarchy!

I would want to live in a country that is a Republic because I would want the right to choose things even though it might not count. If I lived in a Republic the country could have a good leader or a bad leader. The bad leader could enforce unfair laws or charge to much tax.

Me, personally, I would want our country to be republic. In a republic, I would be able to vote for a leader, and hopefully the right one. On the other hand, In a Monarchy, the leader would pass it down to their child, and the child would probably grow up to Their parents beliefs. So They both might be horrible leaders.

I prefer my country to be republic because everyone has the right to vote for what they want and the decision gets chosen fairly. Also in a republic country the president rules for 4-8 years so a new president can get the chance to rule. But the good thing is that the president doesn't get too much power because the government helps make the decision and the citizens can take a stand for what the believe. Plus in a monarchy the citizens believes and requests do not get chosen as fairly as in a republic and the king/queen or "ruler" stays in power until they pass or die.

I would rather live in a Republic because in a republic it benefits the people more than just one ruler making selfish decisions. It lets you vote and gives you more freedom. We wouldn't have to live under the orders of someone we didn't agree with.
