I believe the biggest reason why Rome fell was that it was simply too big and they did not have cars or planes. For that reason Rome had no source of communication and no way to spread news of war. They also couldn't cover Rome with armies therefore when one went to help the other they left gaps in the border and invaders could easily come and have free run of Rome

I agree because since Rome was too big they couldnt get the news across the city fast enough that the Roman army was going to war.I also agree with when you said people were invading Rome. I agree with that because when the barbarians were invading Rome they would pay taxes. They were also taking other peoples land so the Romans would have no land and it would be kept for the barbarians.

I would agree with nico because they didn't have plains, trains,or automobiles. Also going with my first sentence is that it would take FOREVER (exaggeration) to get to the other side.

I agree that the army was too small for how large Rome was. Invaders could easily attack Rome if there was too small of an army.

I agree beacuse they did not have an easy way getting messages around. When they did though it was most likely too late

I think that one of the biggest reasons why Rome fell was because Rome had a weakening army. The Roman soldiers wanted more pay and they were quitting. For that reason the Roman government was hiring mercenaries. Mercenaries are people from other countries that Roman government hired to work for their army. Some of the mercenaries were not loyal since Rome was not their home. They would quit during battle and choose not to fight.

I agree because if they hired mercenaries that if there lives were in danger they would probably run away. When they quit they would also join the other army and fight against Rome.

I agree with you completely. When they hired mercenaries I'm guessing they weren't looking at the results that might happen. If the fight was going to kill the mercenaries, they would sprint out of there with their money that they got BEFORE they got out in the field.

I agree because the mercenaries were only in it for the pay so they wouldn't really care about Rome. The Romans should have thought ahead and thought about what might happen.

I agree with you Mariah. This makes sense, or it's at least what I'd do.

I think the biggest reason Rome fell is how large it was. This was a problem by it taking hours,or days to get to their destination for like a warning call to get the army. Also the army would march & could be tiring, this is bad because now they can't charge to the opponent.

I agree with you Alex. Rome did fall because how large it is and because it was so large, that led to a weakening army. They also fell because it would take hours or days to get to there destination. Do you think if Rome had an advanced form of Transportation and Communication that it would have not fell because it was too big?

I agree with you complete alex on how rome fell from being to big. They had horses and still rides with horses could take days on end. This meant that it would be hard to get messages across rome if they were being invaded.

I think the reason Rome fell was mainly not just because of how large it was but also because they had a small army compared to the number of people living there. With such a small army with a very large land to cover, there were bound to be attacks. This led to eventually one side ending and shortly then the other. Even if they didn't fall because of forces, they had no kind of communication. If they were attacked, a message would be sent but wouldn't reach the main part of Rome for at least 3 days!

I agree with you Mariah because Rome was very large and did have a smaller army compared to the amount of people in Rome. If one part of Rome was attracted the other half would have to wait 3 days to know. By the time they knew the other half may already be getting attact. The Romans would not have a big enough army to protect the people.

I agree, since they didn't have phones, it took days to send a message. Also there only transportation were horses which they could only run for distance without taking a rest .

I think that the Roman Empire fell from it being to large. If one side was attacked the other side of Rome wouldn't know quickly enough. The army was only around the borders and wasn't strong enough to fight back.

I think the biggest reason that Rome fell was because it was to big. It was so hard to get news across Rome quick enough. That would cause other army's to attack Rome very easy because the news was not spread fast enough.

I agree with Jordan S because its the only best reason that Rome came to an end. Rome would need to hire everyone in Rome itself to keep it going. THERES NO BETTER WAY TO PUT IT!

I think that one of the biggest reasons that Rome fell was that Rome was too big and had too small of an army to protect it. If the army was too small to protect Rome, Rome would loose the battle and fall. Also Rome is so big to transport any news across, if one half of Rome needed to tell the other half it would take 3 days just to get there.

Rome was getting to big. if Rome were to hire more guards to guard Rome, the guards wouldn't get an equal pay. So then the guards Quit there job Because there not getting a fair pay. And now Rome is open for any army to end Rome.

It was divided and one part did good the other part was attacked and all their treasures were taken. The attacks were in 455 by a tribe called the Vandals. They were a German tribe.

I think the biggest reason was because they didn't have a good way to travel. They had to ride on horses or walk because they didn't have cars or texting like we do. What happened if suddenly somewhere someone attacked? Also, Rome was too big. With no good way to travel and a really big area? There's trouble.

I believe the biggest reason rome fell was because of the constant struggles for power between the generals. I believe this is true because if some of the most powerful men in a country want power the people have to choose. This makes the armies even more stretched out because they have to fight other romans. Also this means that it is easier for enemy to breach boarders.

I think the reason why Rome fell was because they needed more soldiers. They needed the soldiers to help defend Rome. Rome was very big and they did not have enough to protect them.

I think Rome fell because it was to big. Since they didn't have trains, planes, and automobiles they had to ride on horses which would take 3 days to get to the capital. plus it would take about 3 weeks for reinforcements to get to a enemy.

Ceasar was a bad Emperor. He only cared about himself. The men in the army fought against each other instead of there enemies.

I think rome fell was by there poor army. They would ask mercenaries too fight and when the fight got too hard they fled. Another reason why becusethey had there armys on the bondries so when they got threw they can just keep on tarring up rome.
